Find Her!

Where’s that little girl inside you? Remember her? She is full of curiosity, wonder, excitement, awe, imagination, giggles and joy! She is courageous and resilient, eager to explore & learn. And she’s ok with doing something a little scary, a little out-of-the-box; blazing new trails that may or may not go as expected, speaking her mind and asking for what she wants. That’s what this Blog & my Mindset Coaching is all about. It’s for you & I to start some conversations about real life; sometimes sad, sometimes funny and often curious; exploring topics together that we encounter and helping tap into that little girl’s approach to life that we’ve lost touch with.

You may have known me since we were babies or we may be more recent friends or maybe we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting in person .. yet! But I can’t wait to get to know you better as we travel this highway called ‘life’ with it’s adventures and challenges, bumps and detours, scenery and clouds. We will share some laughter and tears (maybe at the same time, if the joke or story is just that good!) But we’re going to do this TOGETHER and that’s all that matters. Knowing our sisters have our back. No judgement. And that means no judging ourselves either! We’re all just trying to do our best. So give yourself a break. No guilt. Find that little girl and let her come out to play!

So.. what is UGlowGRL?

Welcome!
Why am I doing this? For YOU! And for me.

It’s hard to kick your own ass into gear, or hold your own hand or cry on your own shoulder, and celebrating is way more fun when you’re not doing it alone.

A supportive Community of Women is so much better, so much stronger TOGETHER, than each struggling through life alone. THAT’S WHY WE NEED YOU!

Since you’re curious!

My 3 younger brothers and I grew up on the Sun Valley Spread, a farm & ranch in Southern Saskatchewan. With only 2 channels on T.V., no such thing as the ‘interweb’ and all our friends on the other end of long-distance phone #’s, we spent most of our time in the miles and miles of our ‘backyard’. When the chores were done, there was lots to explore and nature never disappointed.

I grew up with small-town values, that may have something to do with everyone knowing several generations of your family and never hesitating to report any of your indiscretions to them lol ;) But more importantly, those values reinforced in me how important it is to CARE about your neighbor. And EVERYONE is considered your neighbor. You’re there for them through the thick & thin. Celebrating or mourning, but done TOGETHER. And generosity! Better lock your car during zucchini season or you’re likely to find that a mysterious donor has just gifted you with their bounty.

I’ve been a nurse, coach, volunteer, board member, teacher, librarian, postal worker, administrator, coordinator, actor, model, reiki master, manager and maybe a few other things, but my highest calling and greatest joy has always been my role as a Mother. There’ll be lots more on this subject in my blog :)

I still find myself so curious to learn more about, well, most everything!

When I was recently asked to do a little intro for a casting director, this is how I summed myself up: “I’m a country girl with a rock ‘n roll heart. A bit of a gypsy and a rebel. My friends call me “Sunshine”. I love learning new things & I’m always up for an adventure. If I could choose my own super power, it would be to be able to make people happy.” (... Guess I could’ve just led with that summary lol! and saved you all from reading through the extended version first).

So, that’s a bit about me. NOW! It’s your turn! How about you? What is on your wish list, your bucket list, your life list? What makes you cry? What makes you laugh? What makes you want to scream? DM or email me. I really do want to get to know more about YOU!
